SOLO AD BUSINESS MODEL

CLICKMAGICK SET UP

Both your client and solo ad provider will be using sophisticated click tracking tools in order to
control the delivery and quality of the traffic being sent to the client’s CP. There are many click
tracking tools out there, but the most accurate and commonly used ones are Clickmagick (CM)
and Quality Click Control (QCC).

This is the only paid tool you will need to use and know to get this business up and running
immediately after you finish Week 1.

It's crucial you fully understand information provided in this section, or else you won’t be able to
understand which and where insert your clients URL link and which URL link provide your solo
seller provider.

If you went through this section a couple of times, and something is still unclear, email me with
your questions.

Setting Up Your Custom Domain
Clickmagick

Once you have purchased a domain name (which is simple enough simply by going to NameCheap or some other domain registrar), you want to have it pointed to your tracking
software.

You do this by changing the DNS records to point to ClickMagick.

Step #1 - Create a new 'CNAME' record and a new 'A' record in NameCheap.com

The first thing we need to do is point our domain name to go to ClickMagick Once you've got
your domain name in NameCheap, select > 'Manage Domain', then > 'Advanced DNS'

  • Under 'Host', enter > www
  • Under 'Value', enter > www.clkmg.com
  • Under TTL, leave as 'Automatic'
  • Add a new 'A Record' by selecting > 'ADD NEW RECORD'
  • Under 'Host', enter the symbol > @
  • Under 'Value', enter > 50.97.212.250
  • Under TTL, leave as 'Automatic'

Your CNAME Record covers when someone types in your URL address with the 'www.'
included in front of it.

The A Record is for when people type in the address without the www., for example, simply
google.com

Once these two new records have been created, delete the old existing entries.

Now that you have your domain name pointing to ClickMagick, we can head on over to our
tracking software and setup our links.

***NOTE:

It may take an hour or so for the DNS records to propagate through the net and get updated.

How To Read Stats In ClickMagick

➢ Unique clicks: This indicates the amount required to complete an order (400) and the
amount sent (441). In this case, the order was overdelivered by 41 clicks.

➢ T1 Ratio: Is the tier 1 percentage delivered from those 441 visitors (83%).

➢ Unique IPs: Every device connected to the internet has a separate IP which acts like a unique identification code for that device. Ideally, this number has to correspond to the amount
of unique clicks sent, and as you can see, it doesn’t. Click trackers will never be 100% accurate
but good trackers will be close. 96% unique IPs is pretty normal.

➢ Mobile clicks: The amount of users that clicked the client’s link using a mobile device i.e.,
tablet or smartphone.

➢ Tier 1, 2 and 3 clicks: The amount of T1, T2, and T3 clicks out of 441 total clicks sent.

When Solo Ad Is Completed

When solo ad is completed. You will need to contact your client and tell him that solo ad was completed. You will give him your public stats link from Clickmagick.

No Conversions (Opt-ins)

Sometimes client will report that he got i.e. no conversions at all, then something is obviously wrong. Most of the client forgot to add a “tracking pixel” to their “thank you” page.

Here's a simple test you can do to identify the problem when the client reports no opt-ins:

1. Enter your client’s capture page and opt in using a random email address

2. Ask the client to check the opt-ins again to verify they received nothing today (don't tell them you subscribed).

3. If they still don't see any opt ins, then they didn’t add a tracking pixel.

Clients usually forget to add it when they create new “thank you” pages. A tracking pixel is one
line of code placed in the backend (code) of “thank you” pages. The tracking pixel is provided by
the click tracking tool the client is using, and when visitors opt in and land on the “thank you”
page, the click tracker recognizes it and records that as a conversion.
